DCET Training Launches New Course
DCET Training has been chosen to accredit a new higher professional diploma specifically designed for qualified electricians.
We will run the new City & Guilds Level 4 Higher Professional Diploma (4467) from our Exeter training centre as a two year day release course from October 2009.
The course is designed to provide a strong foundation for qualified electricians to become senior technicians within the building services engineering sector.
"We are very pleased to accredit this course because we will be one of only a few providers in the south west equipped for its delivery. It is a national qualification which was unveiled by City & Guilds and SummitSkills at the end of last year, so obviously reflects current regulations and contains all the latest content to help qualified electricians reach senior technician status", David Bassett, managing director of DCET Training.
Course participants will develop skills in CAD and ICT for building services, electrotechnical design and management, electrical supply and distribution. Amongst other units covered, the course will also include electrotechnical sustainability, estimating and tendering, managing resources and project planning.
