In-house trainers & mentors need to seek new qualification

New UK regulations will affect all businesses with in-house trainers and mentors. From 2007 any new trainer, assessor or member of learning staff who delivers publicly funded training will be required by law to attain a full teaching qualification within five years. The initial step on the road to teaching is the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).

DCET Training have gained approval from City & Guilds to deliver the Level 3 PTLLS course (7303), and also an Introduction to Trainer Skills course (7300).

The Introduction to Trainer Skills qualification is ideal for managers and business owners to develop and extend their HR and internal communication skills. The two day course aims to equip professionals with the knowledge to plan, deliver and evaluate effective training in the workplace. Learning through structured practical activities, the qualification covers a variety of topics from confidence in public speaking, creating interactive and motivating presentations to using resources efficiently and to their maximum advantage.
