Case Study 1 - Fault Finding
An international company who run and maintain a fleet of specialist craft at various locations throughout the country approached us. They needed assistance with their fault finding procedures as these craft must be serviceable at all times and in the event of a fault must be repaired immediately especially while at sea. A theory and practical course was jointly devised which included various fault finding techniques while maintaining a high level of health and safety and avoiding common pitfalls. We successfully delivered a series of courses and the feedback from their manager was excellent.
Case Study 2 - Electrical testing
We were asked by a national cabin hire company to assist them in fulfilling their health and safety requirements with regard to electrical testing of cabins before going on hire this included the joint development of a useable electrical certificate. A bespoke course which included statutory and non-statutory requirements, electrical theory, inspection and testing and certification was developed. This training has been delivered at various locations including Glasgow, London, Wales and the North East and is still on-going with a course in the Midlands scheduled for spring 2012. There is no doubt that by undertaking this training this company has been able to supply electrically safe cabins and to remain competitive in a very tough sector.
Case Study 3 - Exhibition installation
Following an enquiry from an international software development company regarding training for their exhibition installation team we developed and conducted a practical and theory course at their UK head office in Hampshire. They were so pleased with this training that we were invited back to conduct further training for team leaders and managers of other departments.
Case Study 4 - Chandeliers
A local company who manufacture bespoke chandeliers approached us with regards to electical safety training. We developed and delivered a one day course enabling this company to ensure that their product manufactured and tested to ensure safety and durability.
Case Study 5 - Utility company
A local utility company needed electrical training to ensure their electrical maintenance team hold the current relevant qualifications. We have so far conducted a number of 17th Edition and Inspection and Testing courses at their head quarters in Cornwall and are currently training operatives from other areas.
Case Study 6 - Electrical and Electronic
A company who develop and manufacture specialist equipment for the packaging industry requested a bespoke training package with two specific aims. Firstly to provide the production team with an understanding of the electrical and electronic concepts involved in the finished product and training to enable the operatives to test the workshop equipment safely and competently. We have successfully provided this training to existing and new operatives over a number of years enabling the company to remain safe and competitive.
Case Study 7 - PV installation
Many companies especially the larger ones employ teams to carry out specialist tasks within a PV installation. We have developed and carried out training for several diverse companies on the various aspects of PV installation including:
· Component awareness and output calculations for sales persons.
· Calculations for specifiers and designers.
· Safe handling of modules and electrical awareness training for roofers who are
fixing the rails and modules.
· Testing and Certification procedures for those who commission the system.
