Management of Electrical Equipment Maintenance.

Designed for persons who have responsibility for maintenance within a building to ensure compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations with regard to in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (portable appliance testing).

Who is this course aimed at?
Candidates should be familiar with electrical systems and hazards of electricity.

Candidates should also be familiar with the current version of the IEE's Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical which is used for reference purposes in the exam.

How long will the course take?
One day including assessments.

What topics will it cover?
Statutory documentation, equipment construction, combined inspection and testing, recording inspections and management records.

What books will I need?
Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment £40.00. We recommend that candidates read this prior to attending the course as this is the publication used for reference purposes during the on-line exam.

Is there an exam?
Yes there is a one and a half hour City & Guilds multiple choice on-line exam.

When will I know if I've passed?
You will be informed of the results immediately, the certificates will be sent to you when processed.
