HESA Approved Highway Electrical Inspection & Testing Course - Module 714
Who is this course aimed at?
Suitably qualified engineers who carry out highway lighting works.
This course is designed to enable suitably qualified electricians to carry out initial and periodic inspection and testing of highway lighting equipment. It is designed to satisfy the requirements of National Highways Sector Scheme 8 and the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) and is approved by the HEA (Highway Electrical Academy). The course comprises both theoretical and practical elements.

How long will the course take?
Three days of classroom based theory and practical sessions to include the final assessments.
What books will I need?
Candidates will be provided with relevant materials on loan during the course, but we recommend learners posess a copy of the IEE On Site Guide.
Is there an exam?
Yes. There is a short multiple choice question paper and an observed assessment of a full inspection and test.
When will I know if I've passed?
The results are reviewed by the HEA who will, upon successful completion, issue the relevant certification.
