Inspection & Testing

To comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations all installations must be constructed and maintained so as to prevent danger. Subsequent inspection and testing is required to ensure the installation is safe for continued use.

There are three courses in this suite of qualifications:
•1.   Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification (City & Guilds 2392-10)

•2.   Level 3 Award in Initial Verification & Certification of Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2394-01)

•3.   Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2395-01)

Which course is right for me?

Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification (City & Guilds 2392-10)
Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification is a Level 2 qualification and is designed for practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training before going on to achieve the City & Guilds 2394/5.

Level 3 Award in Initial Verification & Certification of Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2394-01)
This qualification is aimed at practicing electricians who have experience of inspection and testing and have a good working knowledge of the current IEE Wiring Regulatations. This course is designed to enable candidates to safely carry out the Initial Verification of new electrical installation work.

Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2395-01)
This qualification is aimed at practicing electricians who have experience of inspection and testing and have a good working knowledge of the current IEE Wiring Regulatations. This course is designed to enable candidates to safely carry out the Periodic Inspection Testing and Certification of existing Electrical Installations.
