Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations (City & Guilds 2391-10)

Inspection , Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations is a theory based course for qualified electricians with previous experience of inspection and testing and a good working knowledge of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Who is this course aimed at?
Candidates must have a basic knowledge of the IEE Regulations and would ideally hold the City & Guilds 2382 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.

How long will the course take?
Either three days and one evening or nine evenings (excluding the examination).

What topics will it cover?
Using Guidance Notes 3, correct testing procedures, inspection and test result verification.

What books will I need?
You will need the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) £75.00 and the Guidance Notes 3 £25.00.

Is there an exam?
Yes there is a two and a half hour City & Guilds written exam (usually 6.30pm-9.00pm on a date set nationally by the City & Guilds) and a three hour practical assessment.
Delegates must be registered for the written examination by the 1st day of the month prior to the exam date. If booking after this date a late entry fee will apply.

When will I know if I've passed?
Completed papers are sent to the City & Guilds to be marked. As soon as they inform us of the results we will notify you.
