Emergency First Aid at Work

An Emergency First Aider is someone who can take charge if an injury or illness occurs. The course covers basic First Aid skills through participative classroom-based discussions, informal training sessions and practical exercises using manikins, bandages, dressings and other equipment provided.
Who is this course aimed at?
The course is suitable for a wide range of persons from all industries to include managers, supervisors, operatives, office staff or any person who has been carefully selected to ensure that they are capable of taking on the responsibility of the first aider in their specific area of work. There are no pre-requisites for delegates attending the First Aid at Work course.
How long will the course take?
One day.
What topics will it cover?
Understanding the role of the first aider, importance of avoiding cross infection, dealing with the unconscious casualty, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, choking, wounds and bleeding, shock and minor wounds.
What books will I need?
No books are needed.
Is there an exam?
There is no formal assessment.
When will I know if I've passed?
Attendance certificates will be issued after course completion and are valid for 3 years. It is suggested that certification is renewed every three years to ensure that those persons responsible for First Aid are kept up to date with best practices.
How much will it cost?
£95+VAT per candidate or Special Bundle fee of £80+VAT per candidate when booking 3 or more places.
