Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification (City & Guilds 2392-10)

Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification is a level two qualification and is designed for practicing electricians  who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training before going on to achieve the City & Guilds 2391-52.

Who is this course aimed at?
Candidates who have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science principles, and experience of electrical installation work either within the electrical contracting industry or an allied trade.

How long will the course take?
Either three and a half days with on-line exam during afternoon of third day and practical assessment on last day, or five evenings with the assessments on the following day.

 What topics will it cover?
Reasons for inspection & testing and legal requirements, safe isolation, selection of instruments, sequence of tests and practical inspection and testing of single phase installations.

What books will I need?
You will need the IEE 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and the On-Site Guide.

Is there an exam?
Yes there is a one hour and forty minutes multiple choice on-line examination as well as a two hour practical exam.

When will I know if I've passed?
Provisionally at the time of undertaking the assessments. Certificates will follow when verified.
