City & Guilds 0674 - Introduction to Carbon Management

With the introduction of the Climate Change Act in 2008, the UK became the first country in the world to have a legally binding long-term framework to cut carbon emissions.

This course is designed to provide an introduction to the legislation and the impact on businesses.

Who is this course aimed at?
This course is aimed at those who are working in an area that is affected by a cultural change around carbon management, but are not directly responsible for implementing the change. An ideal course for those who wish to gain a basic understanding of the key areas covered.

How long will the course take?
Either two days or five evenings.

What topics will it cover?
· Introduction to climate change regulations                                         
· Climate change drivers
· Overview of carbon management business drivers 
· Carbon footprints
· Calculate the carbon footprint of simple dwellings

What books will I need?
A list of suggested reading materials will be provided during the first session. 

Is there an exam?
Yes. The final assessment is via a multiple choice exam and upon successful completion candidates will be issued a City & Guilds certificate endorsed by the Carbon Centre. 

When will I know if I've passed?
The exam is internally marked and the results will be provided within five working days.
