A Great Day...

New Bristol Centre
We are delighted to announce that our new larger, shinier Bristol Training Centre is now officially open! Tuesday 12th April saw the grand opening of the centre with NICEIC celebrities Tony Cable and Darren Stainforth cutting the ribbon to officially declare the centre open. A big thank you to everyone who came along to join us in the celebrations, and also to all representatives from Martindale, Fluke, Megger, Denmans, CPN, Click Scolmore, Wiska, Chint and Hamerville, who were on hand throughout the day to answer technical questions. If you missed out on the day and would like to arrange another time to have a look around then please contact Michelle Moylan, Bristol Centre Manager, on 01454 614203, and for any further apprenticeship and commerical course information.

ELEX 2016
Another big thank you to everyone who came along to see us at the ELEX Exhibition at Westpoint Arena on 21st and 22nd April. We were delighted to see so many of our employers, apprenticeship learners and commerical course learners, as well as receiving many new enquiries. We look forward to exhibiting again next year.

NEW AAC Assessment
NET Services and the Joint Industry Board (JIB) have developed a new assessment of occuapational competence for those who are seeking Approved Electrician status under the JIB grading. The Advanced Assessment of Competence (AAC) is a one day, six section assessment with a practical and theoretical element. It assesses in all the areas of competence required by Approved Electricians. These include:
Risk Assessment, Safe Working Practice and Safe Isolation of Supply
• Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing and Initial Verification
• Fault Diagnosis and Rectification
• Supervision of Electrical Operatives in the workplace
• Underpinning Knowledge of the role
The AAC is available now! Call us on 01392 829100 for further information.

Annual Awards Ceremony
Our Annual DCET Awards Ceremony is scheduled to take place in July. This is our opportunity to congratulate our learners on their achievements, dedication and hard work through the course of their apprenticeship learning, and for us to give them a proper send-off (although most learners return to us for further training or to take on an apprentice themselves). We will also be holding an Employer Open Event Session on the day for any employers who wish to come in and have a chat about any queries or concerns or to obtain further information. More details to follow next month.
