NEW Electrotechnical Trailblazer Standard
From September 2015 we are now delivering the NEW Electrotechnical Standard.
Now is an exciting time to recruit an Apprentice with the new improved Trailblazer Apprenticeship. The new standard has been created for the Industry by the Industry and offers Employers more direct involvement and additional incentives.
You will have heard about the Governments' enthusiasm for Apprenticeships and the various reviews and consultations during the last Parliament. Well after all these reviews of Apprenticeships it was finally decided that changes need to be implemented. Changes include the grading of Apprenticeships, so that Apprentices on completion of their qualification will be awarded a Pass, Merit or Distinction. Employers can be more directly involved and the final grade will be based on the results of the AM2 Assessment.
In addition Apprenticeship funding has now changed to include employer incentives that will greatly support companies (particularly those with less than 50 employees) that employ school leavers. Electrotechnical is one of the first 'Trailblazers' to be rolled out.
